Shrewsbury’s Fields of Dreams and Reinventing Raven Meadows Through Time will be the subject of the Culture Club meeting at the Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery on Thursday 19 May.

The networking event, aimed at local businesses, is free in association with Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors, Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery and Stop, Coffee Shop and takes place between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. with breakfast included, but anyone wishing to attend should reserve their place before May 6th.

The Culture Club was set up by Lanyon Bowdler as an informal business networking group that focuses on the Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, inviting people to exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of the collections and lectures.

Amanda Jones, Marketing Director at Lanyon Bowdler, said: “We are delighted to restart our Culture Club networking events – the first since the start of the pandemic.

“They are an ideal opportunity for local business people to come, meet other people and learn more about the rich culture and history of Shropshire.

“The May 19 meeting will focus on the fascinating history of the downtown Raven Meadows area and will feature guest speaker Phil Scoggins.

“No area of Shrewsbury town center has seen such great change in such a short time as the area between the main shopping streets and the River Severn.

“It’s a region seemingly poised for the biggest changes in its history, but it’s a place where big changes have happened over the past 150 years – so here’s your chance to find out more.”

The meeting is free, but places are limited. Book here or by emailing [email protected] before 6 May.
